Welcome to all the new Umko Adventurers and welcome back to all our loyal Adventurers. It’s going to be another great weekend of riding and opportunity for friendships to be made. Our route setters and clearers have been busy for the last month and we are hoping to add a few new sections to last years route. Winter has finally arrived and the mornings are chilli! Make sure you bring along your arm warmers and your favourite wind breaker jacket. The local farmers’ wives will make sure your belly is full with warm food before and after each days ride. The water table will be well stocked with our signature dry wors, millionaire’s shortbread and sugar cane! And each day will end with drinks and stories round the fire. So what more could one want from a weekend away?

The Umko Valley is full of general game at the moment. Be sure to stop and enjoy the view. Our 2 resident Narina Trojons will be strategically placed on the route again. Take a picture and enjoy a drink with them and win a prize.
The 2 days of riding travers over privately owned farms and the route is only opened for the weekend of the race. It’s a very special part of the world that is not often seen by anyone other than the farmers. Come and enjoy a slice of heaven and be sure to bring a friend to enjoy it with.
The weekend is hosted at the Richmond Country Club and a full race village with 2 man tents is set up on the cricket fields. Riders have the choice of purchasing camping (R150pp) which includes a very comfy mattress with their ROAG entry or they can book into a local B&B.
